White's Winter Returns — A New Preview of Book One
I've replaced the old version of White's Winter on the site with a freshly reworked edition of its opening. Instead of posting the whole book at once, I'm sharing the first eleven chapters of Book One — the complete first arc — so you can sit with the story, feel its rhythm, and decide for yourself whether you want to follow Riley the rest of the way.
What it's about: In the frozen North, a young wolf named Riley White has never belonged. His blue coat, the strange white scar across his eye, and a forbidden gift for music — the ability to see sound as color — have marked him an outcast his whole life. When Erika Brookes, the North's fiercest hunter, drags him out of the worst night he's ever known, two lonely wolves begin a journey neither expected. What follows is an epic trek across a world of warring clans, ancient relics of power, and a shadow-army led by the monstrous Zane. A long-buried prophecy says Riley may be the one wolf who can unite the four clans and sing Alpha's Harmony — the song that once held their whole world together.
It's a story about courage that shows up even when you're terrified, about love that grows out of being truly seen, and about music as the thing that can pull a fractured world back into one piece.
These eleven chapters are free to read, start to finish. If Riley and Erika pull you in, there's much more of their journey still to come. Start reading White's Winter →
